Wonderful stay...host makes great use of the space. We had two moms and 5 teens and we were all comfortable and had a good night's sleep.
Family from North Carolina
Excellent place for a family wanting to visit the NYC area. Like staying at your own mini-hostel. Clean, convenient, nice neighborhood.

FAMILY OF 5 FROM THE CZECH REPUBLIC: I am Eliska and these are my family and friends and we would really like to thank our host family and the Village of Freeport for welcoming us. We loved staying there and it was really great that we could get to meet the locals. I think it’s amazing that Freeport is a village with global possibilities. We really loved visiting Operation SPLASH about the ecological side of the life of the people of Freeport. We visited the Nautical Mile and we met a lot of our host family's friends and even went to a Christian group and it was really nice to discuss the Bible. (Mother): It was also nice to meet our host family and we felt safe because when we came to JFK it was a huge airport. This was the first time in the United States for most of us. I was afraid and when our host family came to pick us up it was a release because I knew that we were safe. Our host family gave us a lot of information on how to travel as well as about life in Freeport and it was very interesting. (Daughter): When you are coming to New York for the first time you hear a lot of scary things like you have to watch your stuff all the time because there are thieves and rapists and murderers and everything. Then you get to the U.S. and you meet the locals at Freeport and you know that there's nothing to be scared of and you see the whole area of New York and all the towns and villages in a new and positive light and it is a great thing. Whenever people can stay in Freeport, I think it’s a great thing for them and I wish that as many people as possible can have such an opportunity. (Mother): Because New York is a beautiful city, but in Freeport we met real life and it was a big difference.
